Maintenance Technician (Entry Level) $24+HR
**Job Title: Repair/Maintenance Technician | $24+HR | 1st Shift** Job Description As a Maintenance/Repair Technician, you will set up and operate winding machines and equipment according to coil size, copper tubing specifications, number of turns, and design requirements. You will read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and technical drawings, and utilize various hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, sanders, levels, squares, and wrenches. You will perform brazing of copper to copper and copper to brass using oxy-acetylene torch techniques and TIG weld stainless steel components as needed. Additionally, you will safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to transport materials and completed coils, perform testing and final assembly of melting furnaces using prefabricated parts and hydraulic systems, and adhere to all housekeeping and safety procedures in accordance with company standards. Availability for overtime or Saturday half-days is required. Responsibilities + Set up and operate winding machines and equipment based on coil size, copper tubing specifications, number of turns, and design requirements. + Read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and technical drawings. + Use various hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, sanders, levels, squares, and wrenches. + Braise copper to copper and copper to brass using oxy-acetylene torch techniques. + TIG weld stainless steel components as needed. + Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely to transport materials and completed coils. + Perform testing and final assembly of melting furnaces using prefabricated parts and hydraulic systems. + Follow all housekeeping and safety procedures in accordance with company standards. + Be available for overtime or Saturday half-days when required. Essential Skills + 1+ years of experience in coil assembly, repair, or copper winding preferred. + Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and bills of material. + Familiarity with hand tools and power tools in an industrial environment. + Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. + Basic math skills, including ability to convert between standard and metric units. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a moderately loud factory setting. Work Environment This position is a direct placement role with a pay rate of $24 per hour. The shift is from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with the potential to extend until 3:30 or 4:30 pm and some Saturdays, mostly half days. The facility is a large, heavy industrial environment focused on machine building. It is a fast-paced setting with an overflow of work and parts. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
