Job Description:

Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to support our Erial, NJ, manufacturing operation. The Maintenance Technician will have responsibility for the overall maintenance of the plant.

Hourly Range: $32.05 - $33.80 based on level of experience.

Shift Hours: 6:00AM-4:30PM (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities

Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance/repairsHave the knowledge and ability to trouble shoot and repair production equipment, including welding machines, metal fabricating equipment, overhead cranes, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systemsControl equipment down time by conducting PM inspections and repairs outside of peak production hours facility and safety as indicatedCoordinate repairs with outside contractors and vendorsProvide facility maintenance and repairs as neededTrack repairs, including cause, down time and repair time

Qualifications

Completion of technical/vocational industrial maintenance program or related fieldMinimum 2+ years related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and understand blueprints, electrical and hydraulic diagrams and equipment specificationsProficient with hand and power tools, metal working tools and welding equipmentStrong verbal/written communication skills and strong computer skillsExperience with Preventative Maintenance programsWorking knowledge of related regulations such as OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI and state/local codesPrior welding experience is a plus

Note: This position requires flexibility beyond the standard workweek. Employees may be required to work additional hours, including mandatory Saturdays, based on operational demands and at the discretion of plant management. Maintenance personnel must be available to come in earlier or stay late, as needed to perform repairs that cannot be completed during regular working hours.
