Maintenance Technician
Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Level 2 Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Level 2 Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting production and facilities operations. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Level 2 Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift! **Location:** Kalkaska, MI **Pay Range:** $30 - $34/hr plus $2,500 sign-on/retention bonus **What’s the Job?** + Perform preventative and routine maintenance on a variety of production and facility equipment + Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures, including mixers, coating equipment, slitters, and pumps + Conduct general electrical and mechanical repairs, including low to medium voltage shutdown/startups + Maintain HVAC systems (non-coolant applications) and compressed air systems + Participate in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives **What’s Needed?** + High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education in HVAC, electronics, or industrial mechanics preferred + Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment + Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment troubleshooting + Ability to read and use illustrated parts breakdown and operational manuals + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and overhead work **What’s in it for Me?** + $2,500 sign-on/retention bonus ($250 at hire; $500 at 3/6/9 months; $750 at 1 year) + 1st shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM + Opportunity to work independently and cross-functionally with engineering and plant teams + Supportive team environment with a focus on safety and continuous improvement + Long-term career growth in a stable manufacturing settingIf this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
