Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of building and plant equipment. You will work closely with the Manager to prioritize tasks and assist the production team with setups and changeovers, supporting operations as needed. **Responsibilities** + Execute a preventative maintenance schedule for machines and facilities equipment using the Fiix CMMS. + Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize interference with production operations and maximize uptime. + Use preventative maintenance techniques to detect future malfunctions and diagnose issues. + Install new or repaired parts according to specifications and blueprints. + Maintain records of issues and maintenance completed on machines using the CMMS. + Respond promptly to production line calls and resolve issues, communicating progress to managers or supervisors. + Perform skilled assembly, repairs, and maintenance using equipment such as hand and power tools, hydraulic presses, and welding equipment. + Follow standards for food safety and food quality production according to GMP, CFR, and regulations of agencies like OSHA, FDA, and EPA. + Comply with all safety and quality regulations, reporting issues immediately to supervisors. + Report food safety problems to supervisors or the SQF Practitioner upon observation of known or potential issues. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Electrical and Mechanical skills + Knowledge of GMP + PLC troubleshooting and repair + Conveyor maintenance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 5+ years of maintenance experience, ideally with GMP + Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working with good people in a welcoming culture within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The position operates during 2nd Shift hours, from 2pm to 10:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sussex, WI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.50/hr.
