**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of production machines and plant facility equipment. This role requires adherence to established safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies and procedures. The position involves performing diversified duties to install, maintain, and troubleshoot production and packaging machinery.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
+ Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines.
+ Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
+ Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
+ Regulate machine flow or speed.
+ Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation.
+ Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
+ Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
+ Execute mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
+ Familiarity with motors, pneumatic, hydraulics, conveyors, fillers, and scaling systems.
+ Experience with single and three-phase equipment and voltages up to 480.
+ Experience with basic electrical testing equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and ohm meters.
+ VFD experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Welding experience.
+ Ability to understand PLCs, including different brands for new and old machinery.
+ Experience with mixers, blenders, and Bosch vertical bagger experience.
+ GMP experience and mechanically inclined.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is very clean, resembling a coffee and bakery shop with a GMP setting. The facility predominantly uses gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment for dry goods such as powders. It is well-lit with ample space, and there are plans for expansion.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
