**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description**
The Maintenance Technician, as part of a team, conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. The position applies knowledge of mechanical and electrical/electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. The maintenance technician provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
+ Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
+ Advise operators of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
+ Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
+ Perform preventive maintenance functions.
+ Communicate with Maintenance Safety Supervisor.
+ Ensure that all production equipment is maintained and running.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will work on the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm or the 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
