Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicles, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Department supporting vehicle assembly operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician
**Location:** Hayward, CA
**Pay Range:** $35/h + Benefits
**What's the Job?**
+ Support the creation and development of preventative maintenance procedures and standards under supervision
+ Collaborate with equipment vendors to perform major maintenance procedures
+ Perform or oversee maintenance on all vehicle assembly equipment
+ Respond promptly to downtime events, equipment alarms, and production support requests
+ Conduct root cause analysis on equipment and quality issues to develop effective solutions
**What's Needed?**
+ At least 3 years of experience working with industrial automation, automotive shop equipment, or similar
+ Strong electrical knowledge (12VDC to 480VAC) and mechanical skills
+ Basic understanding of robotics, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, vehicle lifts, and DC tooling
+ Good computer skills with the ability to read 2D and 3D prints and schematics
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and support multiple local sites (Hayward and Fremont)
