We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to repair, maintain, and support plant machinery while ensuring full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) standards. Ts role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

About the role:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out routine (scheduled) maintenance on electrical machines, plant, and equipment to ensure they remain safe and operational. This includes inspecting, testing, and maintaining motors, control panels, wiring, and automated machinery

You will be responsible for:

Repair and maintain all plant machinery in accordance with documented procedures.Prepare, manage, and maintain stock of required spare parts.Identify and report unsafe machinery, conditions, or work practices to the Engineering Manager.Take immediate corrective action to address unsafe practices or conditions and proactively prevent potential hazards.Exercise the authority to stop production where safety concerns are identified.Ensure compliance with all EH&S and environmental policies and procedures.Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses in a timely manner.Promote Responsible Care principles across the site.Participate in required training and EH&S consultations.Maintain high standards of hygiene across the plant.Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn correctly at all times.Take all necessary steps to protect the health, safety, and work environment of all personnel on site.

Requirements

Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering-related discipline.Proven experience in machinery maintenance within a manufacturing or plant environment.Strong knowledge of EH&S standards and safe work practices.Ability to identify hazards and take decisive corrective action.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Forklift license is desirableFormal A grade electrician qualification is preferred.Connect /Disconnect electrical license is required.
