Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance and troubleshooting on various equipment. This role involves significant electrical and mechanical troubleshooting tasks, as well as working with PLC systems and pneumatic components.

Responsibilities

Conduct electrical troubleshooting on systems up to 480V, including both single phase and three phase configurations.Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, including working with shafts, bearings, gears, and belts.Utilize a laptop for PLC troubleshooting, specifically Allen-Bradley systems.Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and utilize a volt meter for various diagnostics.Build and assemble new machines from scratch, including electrical wiring and AC/DC motor work.Install new equipment and machinery, which may include running conduit.Assist in building and wiring panels for new and rebuilt machines.Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, cleaning, and mopping as necessary.Work on machines such as rewinders, wire formers, and CNC equipment.Perform general building maintenance as required.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Proficiency in 480V wiring and relay logic.Experience with PLC troubleshooting.Proficiency with volt meters.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Formal schooling or training in related fields.Experience in bending or running conduit.Skills in welding, including MIG, STICK, or ARC welding.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VALPARAISO, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
