Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician $30+

Job Description

Join a fast-paced converting facility specializing in corrugated boxes, where you will be responsible for maintaining high-speed equipment in a Just-In-Time environment. Your role will focus on minimizing equipment downtime by executing both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot issues from screen to fault and ensure all equipment is operational.Maintain and repair high-speed converting equipment, including specialty folders, compression tables, and die cutters.Perform reactive maintenance (80%) and preventative maintenance (20%) to ensure minimal downtime.Work with pneumatics, pumps, motors, ink systems, gear systems, drives, calibrations, rollers, conveyors, strappers, and belt changes.

Essential Skills

Experience in the corrugated industry.Electrical troubleshooting up to 480 volts.Familiarity with motors and drives.Knowledge of gear systems, pulleys, and mechanics.Proficiency in pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with controls troubleshooting (Siemens, Wiege, Mitsubishi).PLC troubleshooting.Mechanical and pump control experience.Ability to read and interpret schematics.Experience in preventive maintenance and calibration.

Work Environment

Be prepared to work in a high-pressure environment with 10-hour daily shifts. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with availability for every other Saturday. Shifts include days (7am-5pm or 9am-7pm) and nights (10pm-7am or 7pm-5am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
