As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment. This includes tasks such as machinery maintenance, lubrication, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, welding, fabricating, and possible installations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on equipment, including servicing conveyors, presses, and stackers.Read and understand mechanical prints, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.Troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical components, AC/DC motors, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission.Fabricate equipment using welding techniques (arc and gas) to meet desired needs.Adjust equipment to improve productivity and identify unusual sounds indicating potential trouble.Dismantle equipment to access defective parts.Operate drill presses, lathes, welding equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems.Perform lubrication, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.Essential Skills5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.Working knowledge of measurement equipment such as dial calipers and heat sensing guns.Ability to examine, determine wear, and repair or replace parts as needed.Experience operating metal, woodworking, and hand tools for making and repairing parts.Proficiency in operating hand tools like drill press, grinder, wire brush, and acetylene torch.Excellent attendance and safety record with the ability to follow directions.Ability to work in a team environment and work additional hours, including weekends if needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be dedicated, self-motivated, and able to work independently.Flexibility and positive attitude with a commitment to safety.Computer skills to work in SAP for notifications, work orders, requisitioning parts, and entering time.Basic tools required.Successful completion of standardized pre-employment testing for Maintenance positions.Why Work Here?Employees receive $1,000 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months, and $500 after 1 year. Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a papermill environment. Employees are required to wear steel toe shoes and safety glasses. The role is on a 2nd shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
