Maintenance Technician $28-35/hr in Lansing
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be tasked with repairing and maintaining pneumatic systems, automation equipment, and performing basic PLC edits. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment, conducting major equipment repairs and rebuilds, and installing and configuring new automated systems. Additionally, you will respond promptly to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests to minimize downtime, maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, and use the Equipment Management System (EMS) for inventory and issue tracking.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain pneumatic systems, automation equipment, and perform basic PLC edits.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds, including occasional weekends and holidays.Install and configure new automated systems, including wiring, controllers, and sensors.Respond promptly to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests to minimize downtime.Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.Use Equipment Management System (EMS) for inventory and issue tracking.Conduct daily equipment checks during production up and downtime.Adhere to all safety protocols such as LOTO, 5-S, and Arc Flash, and lead by example.Essential Skills
1-2+ years in industrial machine repair with basic mechanical and electrical knowledge in a manufacturing environment.1-2+ years working with production and processing equipment.Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly blueprints/drawings and schematic diagrams.Solid electrical knowledge, including understanding electrical requirements and hazards.Troubleshooting skills using voltmeter (AC/DC voltage) and diagnosing issues.Proficient with pneumatics including solenoid valves, actuators, and control operations.Computer skills, including job-specific applications and ability to coach others.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Possess a valid Driver’s License.Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including climbing, bending, twisting, standing, dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to operate in confined spaces.Preferably able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.Prefer a Vocational Certificate or Associate Degree, or equivalent relevant experience.Prefer a Journeyman’s certificate or equivalent.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $72800.00/yr.
The company offers 100% company paid health insurance premiums for full-time employees and their eligible dependents. This means that no funds are deducted from an employees’ paycheck for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits start the first of the month from when you start. They provide $110 per week for employees to pay for babysitting services through a user-friendly app.
