Maintenance Technician

Practice safe work habits at all timesDemonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality productsDemonstrate ability to teach other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance proceduresDemonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems useDemonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software programDemonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance classifications according to their abilities and limitationsFollow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed properlyMaximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speedComplete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines.Willingly work all necessary hours and shiftsHelp maintain good housekeeping in work areasComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeepingAdditional duties may be assigned by managementBasic electrical skills knows how to connect and repair electrical controls, such as relays, contactors, sensors, and AC motors•Basic knowledge of PLCS: knows how to connect PLC’S – inputs and outputs•Advanced knowledge of PLCs: knows how to connect and read ladder software•Mechanical skills: lubrication; mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting; able to change bearings; understands different measuring systems (metric and standard); can use measuring tools (tape measure, ruler, caliper)Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime as neededHigh school diploma or GEDTo successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand for long periods, walk frequently, squat, climb, bend, crouch, push-pull, carry, work at heights, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use radio, speak and listen frequently.
