Maintenance Technician Job ID 256583 Posted 21-Jan-2026 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) Indianapolis - Indiana - United States of America **About the Role:** The Maintenance Technician will provide multi-craft maintenance support for facilities operations at a pharmaceutical client site in Indianapolis, IN. This position will focus primarily on supporting the Process Research and Development department, while also providing maintenance assistance to other areas as workload requires. The technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing customer and facility equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency, following a proactive asset management model. Success in this role requires a strong emphasis on customer service, maximizing asset utilization, and partnering with internal teams to enable and enhance scientific innovation. **What You’ll Do:** Perform multi-craft maintenance including fume hood servicing, pump and reactor repairs, rigging, preventive maintenance, small piping jobs, and basic HVAC/carpentry work; maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as air-handlers, vacuum systems, and mechanical pumps. Apply predictive maintenance practices to ensure reliability of systems; fabricate parts from drawings/sketches provided by lab personnel and collaborate in a multi-craft environment to support other trades as needed. Utilize computer systems (e.g., GMARS) to input work time, access Safety Data Sheets, training, and procedures; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and share technical knowledge with peers and craftspeople. Perform daily maintenance activities requiring extensive walking, lifting up to 40 lbs, working at heights, climbing stairs/ladders, and operating scaffolds or lifts; may also work in confined spaces or extreme temperatures with exposure to hazardous chemicals, machinery, and loud noise. Deliver multi-craft maintenance support (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.). Apply proactive asset management practices to optimize equipment lifecycle and utilization. Prioritize customer service and collaboration to minimize downtime and support scientific innovation. **What You’ll Need:** High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
