Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work shift coverage with advanced repair skills on all production equipment.Responsible for documenting all assigned reports and maintenance work orders (MWO’s) for work performed.Work with other maintenance, process and production personnel as necessary or directed in problem solving of equipment and production issues.General troubleshooting of all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and operation issues such as but not limited to; HVAC, process chilled water systems, heating, automation, extrusion, etc....Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches, motors, etc.…Observe and listen to operational mechanical devices to determine causes of problems.Inspect used and defective parts to determine causes of ware and put corrective actions in place such as determine dimensional requirement modifications.Some fabrication of parts or structures using in-house equipment, for example but not limited to; lathe, drill press, milling machine, welding, etc.Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, decrease scrap, improve quality and improve plant efficiency.Able to perform routine and diagnostic Planned Maintenance on equipmentAll other assignments, general and specific, as directed by SupervisorSafety – Responsible for working safely and following all plant safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions. Wears proper attire and all required PPE.
