Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment and facilities to ensure they are in optimum operating condition. This involves performing scheduled preventative maintenance and responding to emergency breakdowns.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, and repositioning components.Observe operations, vibrations, and noise levels to ensure equipment is functioning properly.Conduct emergency and breakdown maintenance to support plant operations.Reference equipment manuals and technical literature for guidance.Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired maintenance results.Accurately use measurement and test equipment.Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system repairs, and installations.Safely operate the boiler and maintain operating steam pressure above 180 PSI.Maintain clean and organized work areas.Prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork accurately.Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.Foster teamwork with other associates.Inform supervision of problems and unusual situations.Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in maintenance technician roles.Electrical experience in swapping motors and troubleshooting.Experience with Frequency Drives (VFDs) and PLC troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints, including German prints.Experience working with 480 volts.Proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems, including boilers.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled and can be hot in the spring and summer, and cool in the fall and winter. The maintenance team comprises 8 technicians working in pairs, combining mechanical and electrical expertise. Expect a hands-on role where getting dirty is part of the job. The shift follows a 2-2-3 schedule on the 3rd shift, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $67000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
