Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Intermediate Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking an intermediate level maintenance technician to join our parts processing facility in Hillsboro, OR. This role focuses on performing preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and the commercial building. It is a great opportunity for someone mechanically inclined to assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with complex troubleshooting and to learn more about electro-mechanical systems. **Responsibilities** + Perform various skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain facilities operation. + Maintain the mechanical, electrical, and supporting equipment, as well as the appearance of the facilities. + Work from blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches and innovate solutions as needed. + Document processes, write procedures, and meet timelines. + Troubleshoot pumps, motors, and plumbing systems with a working knowledge. **Essential Skills** + Experience in electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance technician roles. + Skills in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, assembly, disassembly, repair, installation, and service. + Knowledge of facilities, machine, and equipment maintenance. + Experience with pumps, motors, gears, plumbing, and military backgrounds. + Mechanically inclined and able to identify basic tools. + Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours and lift up to 35 pounds. + Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and plumbing systems. + Previous experience in a repair-oriented job requiring both preventative and corrective maintenance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency with hand and power tools and ability to identify basic tools when required. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to use a computer for work orders. + Capability to drive quality results in a fast-paced dynamic environment. + Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability and comfort working around chemicals. + Reliability and punctuality are crucial due to the small department size. + Ability to maintain safety standards in a sensitive position. + Comfortable climbing ladders or using scissor lifts to service systems in the ceiling. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and fast-paced environment that offers an opportunity for growth and learning in electro-mechanical systems. The work environment includes parts of the process in and out of a cleanroom. PPE requirements include steel-toed shoes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime as needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
