About the Role

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Mechanic for a union position in Baltimore. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, and utilities. You will work with boilers, HVAC systems, compressors, generators, cooling systems, pumps, conveyors, and industrial valves, performing pipe-fitting, welding, machining, electrical troubleshooting, and rigging. The position is physically active, requiring work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and variable environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and repair plant equipment, including boilers, compressors, generators, and cooling systems. Perform pipe-fitting, welding (stick, brazing, soldering), machining, and electrical troubleshooting. Rebuild and maintain pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, blowers, and industrial valves. Safely operate forklifts, loaders, cranes, air compressors, and pneumatic tools. Work in confined spaces, elevated catwalks, and environments with varying temperatures, noise, and exposure to oils and chemicals. Document work orders, maintain spare parts inventory, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Physical Requirements Lift and carry equipment/parts up to 50 lbs. Crawl, bend, stoop, and work in cramped or awkward positions. Climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding; work at heights up to 90 ft. Handle tools such as sledgehammers and operate heavy machinery safely. Work outdoors in hot, cold, or slippery conditions and handle chemicals safely.What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a multi-skilled mechanic in an industrial or plant environment. Knowledge of pipe-fitting, welding, machining, rigging, and electrical systems. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively. High school diploma or GED; technical certifications are a plus.Why Apply?
