Maintenance Technician **Hillcrest Family Services** 1 Positions ID: 554141834 Posted On 11/11/2025 Refreshed On 01/12/2026 **Job Overview** **Responsibilities** The **Maintenance Technician** will provide repair and maintenance of the agency properties and equipment, cover the areas of appliance and equipment, heating and cooling, basic plumbing techniques, and furniture/office setup. Maintenance Technicians will be required to work in the outdoor elements that could include hot or cold weather, rain, snow, or dry conditions. In addition, you will: + Checktheheatingandcoolingcyclesasseasonschange. + Cleanandinspectboilersandchecksafety switches. + Cleanandoilcentralairconditioning units. + Cleanclothesdryerinteriorsandvents. + Lubricateblowermotors,recirculationpumps,exhaustfanmotors. + Checkandchangefurnacefiltersmonthly. + Cleantherefrigeratorandfreezercoils. + Clean,lube,andcheckwindowairconditioners. + Cleanwaterheaterburnersandchecksafetyswitches. + Performroutineandpreventativemaintenanceonappliances.Performappliancerepairswhenpossible. + Performminorlockrepairsand locksmithing. + Changelightbulbs,ballastand/orlightfixturesasneeded. + Clearcloggedtoiletsand/orsewerlinesas needed. + Performminorplumbingandelectricalrepairs. + Maintaingroundsbyperforminglawncare,snowremoval,lighttreetrimming,andlandscapingworkasneeded. + Performroutinemaintenanceandrepairsonlawnandsnowequipment. + Monitorvehiclemaintenanceandperformvehiclerepairswhenpossible. + PerformmonthlyPMs(GFI,fireextinguishers,emergencylights,timermotors,exhaustfansandvents,lubepumps, utility checks, generator test, refrigerator coils cleaned). + Providesupportinofficesetupand moves. + Repairdamagetothebuildingsandfurniturewhenpossible. + AssistHousekeepingstaffasneeded. + FillsupplyordersforREandAdultGroupHomesandmaintaininventorybyreorderingstock. + Scheduleappointmentswithvendorsasneeded. + Participate in on-call rotation. + Otherdutiesas assigned. **Requirements** **Education:** + HighSchoolDiplomaorequivalentrequired. **Experience:** + Previousexperienceinmaintenanceworkpreferred. + Experienceand/ortheabilitytoperformtrouble-shootingtasksonappliancesand equipment. **Knowledge/Skills:** + Skilledandknowledgeableinappliances,heating,cooling,electrical,andplumbing. + Abilitytoeffectivelycommunicatewithcoworkers,staff,residents,andvendors. + Abilitytomeetdeadlines,andflexibilitytore-prioritizetasksasnecessary. + Basiccomputerskills. **Licenses/Certifications:** + Current and valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements is required. . + MandatoryReporterofChild/DependentAdultAbuseCertificationortheabilityto obtain within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter required. **Benefits** **Competitive benefits package for full-time employees working 30+ hours a week:** + Health insurance (up to 79% employer paid) + Dental insurance + Vision insurance + 401(k) with profit sharing and employer match + Paid time off (accrue up to 80 hours during first year of employment; increases based on tenure with agency) + 10 paid holidays + 80 hours sick time + 2 wellness days + Staff development and training + Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility for federal student loans + Employer paid CEU's through Relias + PerkSpot- employee discount program + Employee assistance program **About the Organization** Hillcrest is a non-profit organization that assists adults and children in need of help.
