Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** First Shift, Second Shift, Third Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and reviewing equipment operations to determine maintenance needs. The role involves troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs efficiently, maintaining low maintenance downtime, and completing work order documentation. You will monitor control systems, hydraulic systems, fire protection, and mechanical bearing systems while assisting in new equipment installations as needed. Additionally, you will be involved in facilities maintenance as required by plant management. Responsibilities + Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery. + Review plant equipment operations for maintenance or repair needs. + Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs effectively. + Maintain a low percentage of maintenance downtime. + Complete and manage work order documentation. + Monitor control systems, hydraulic systems, and fire protection. + Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies. + Assist in new equipment installations when necessary. + Perform facilities maintenance as directed by plant management. Essential Skills + Proficient in hydraulics, DC motors, and pneumatics. + Experience with bearings, sprockets, and chains. + Knowledge of 480V DC Motors and Drives. + Understanding of preventative maintenance tasks like lubrication and oil sampling. + Familiarity with steel production processes and quality standards. + Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. + Strong experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics/pneumatics, plumbing, and welding in metals manufacturing preferred. + Formal education may be substituted with demonstrated competency through experience and training. Work Environment The work environment is a non-climate-controlled facility that is well-kept, organized, and clean. There is one opening on the day shift, working from 4:30 am to 3:00 pm, with potential overtime and weekend shifts required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huger, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
