**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for Metal Stamping to join our team on a direct hire basis. This position is part of a union and involves working on one of three shifts, focusing on maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities
+ Lead by example in demonstrating best-in-class behaviors with a strong focus on safety, quality, and policy adherence.
+ Operate standard maintenance tools, including power tools, basic hand tools, and electrical testing equipment, effectively and safely.
+ Follow all prescribed safety rules, regulations, and department policies and procedures.
+ Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs as assigned.
+ Assist other maintenance personnel by performing a variety of duties as directed.
+ Detect, document, and report any improper machine operation and faulty equipment.
+ Comply with LOTO, HAZ Com, PPE, Confined Space, and all other Company, State, and Federal Safety Programs.
+ Train other maintenance staff as needed.
+ Perform Maintenance Level 1 duties and responsibilities.
+ Provide support to engineering in gathering requested information and beta testing some engineering projects.
+ Work with machine service engineers to gather information and report unusual issues for resolution.
+ Follow emergency procedures for power failures.
+ Demonstrate competence and proficiency in basic mechanical or electrical tasks.
+ Perform basic welding tasks.
+ Perform other tasks as requested.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of technical training and 3+ years of experience or equivalent.
+ Ability to read and understand standard mechanical and electrical schematics.
+ Problem-solving using defined methodologies.
+ Maintenance experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic welding skills.
+ Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
+ Familiarity with blueprints and measuring tools.

Work Environment
The work environment is loud and requires a strong focus on safety due to handling heavy and sharp metal materials. The facility is not temperature-controlled, so expect varying temperatures with hot summers and cold winters. Employees must wear steel-toed boots, jeans or pants without holes, and either a long or short sleeve t-shirt. This is a union position and offers the opportunity to become a permanent union member after 90 days.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $72000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Libertyville,IL.
