Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of quarry equipment, including cranes, conveyors, mixers, and heavy machinery. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on quarry equipment.
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
+ Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field for on-site repairs.
+ Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and rectify potential failures.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts replaced.
+ Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and regulations.
+ Operate diagnostic equipment and tools to assess mechanical issues.
+ Collaborate with maintenance teams and supervisors to prioritize repair tasks.
+ Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
+ Experience with mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and repair.
+ Capability in preventive maintenance and schematic interpretation.
+ PLC and electrical troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with production equipment operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Capable of reading a tape measure.
+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
+ Proficiency in English reading.
+ Physical ability to lift 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally.
+ Skill in using hands and fingers for equipment manipulation.
+ Ability to reach, bend, and squat throughout shifts.
+ Capability to stand for long periods.
+ Experience with overhead cranes is a plus.
Work Environment
This role is based in a production/manufacturing environment with working hours from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime and occasional Saturdays. A half-hour lunch break is unpaid. The work environment can be hot in summer and cold in winter. Employees must adhere to the dress code, which includes jeans, steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and protective sleeves. PPE, except for steel-toed boots, is provided. Steel-toed boots are provided once a year after permanent hire.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, Maryland.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
