Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** Job Description We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who approaches work with a Continuous Improvement mindset. The role involves engaging with the team to identify, value, prioritize, resource, and sustain improvement initiatives. The technician will conform to and ensure departmental adherence to quality standards, and update and monitor a preventative maintenance program for the plant. Responsibilities + Coordinate day-to-day preventative maintenance requirements and demonstrate proficiency in all maintenance tasks. + Relieve and cover maintenance department vacations to minimize overtime. + Establish parts ordering requirements through a parts clerk to ensure adequate supplies of appropriate spare parts. + Assist in troubleshooting plant equipment and perform needed repairs. + Research, suggest, and implement system improvements. + Demonstrate basic ARC and TIG welding skills and proficient use of Volt/Ohm meter. + Identify chains, sprockets, bearings, and demonstrate cutting and gluing PVC pipe, as well as identifying pipe fittings. + Test motors using continuity and megohmmeter tests and troubleshoot basic motor control circuits. + Size and troubleshoot VFDs, identify inputs and outputs of PLCs, and understand basic schematics and ladder logic. + Troubleshoot and repair analog control circuits, properly bend pipe and conduit, and identify components and processes of CIP systems. + Analyze and repair specialized equipment that relies heavily on electrical controls, microprocessor controls, and electro-mechanical mechanisms. + Maintain a working understanding of plant production processes and equipment systems to perform maintenance effectively. + Order parts and materials as required for assigned tasks. + Perform all work in a safe and professional manner and report safety deficiencies. + Maintain professional and appropriate dress, hygiene, and personal conduct. Essential Skills + Troubleshooting and repair skills in electrical systems. + Preventive maintenance and repair capabilities. + Experience with electrical troubleshooting. + 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience. + 2+ years of experience in food/beverage manufacturing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in dairy processing, filling, and packaging. + Experience with Blowmold operations. + Demonstrated sanitary welding technique. + Understanding and operating equipment for diagnostic and break relief. + Accountability to GMP Food Safety and Quality Principles. Work Environment The Maintenance Technician will work in a food and beverage manufacturing setting, requiring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Turlock, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
