Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician available from 8am to 5pm, Sunday through Saturday, to support our operational needs. In this role, you will perform minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and various trades work, ensuring our facilities remain in top condition.

Responsibilities

Perform minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and other trades work.Complete maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks in accordance with approved work requests, codes, and specifications.Research costs of materials, labor, and equipment, and collaborate with supervisors to ensure budget compliance.Obtain proper materials and equipment for work requests.Order and manage supplies for routine repairs and maintenance.Utilize tools and equipment, including power tools, adhering to established safety rules.Review non-routine work requests with supervisors to evaluate feasibility, costs, time requirements, and priority.Coordinate specialized work requests with external vendors or contractors as directed.Perform housekeeping, maintenance, and repair duties to maintain safe and sanitary conditions.Assist with pest control efforts and investigate reports of damage or equipment breakdowns.Conduct inspections, tests, and maintain documentation for emergency eyewash, deluge shower equipment, fire extinguishers, and departmental first aid kits.Consult with the Safety Officer as needed.

Essential Skills

Two years of experience in basic carpentry, electrical maintenance, plumbing, small equipment repair, and other trades.Must possess own basic hand tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aiea, Hawaii.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $25.36/hr.
