**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
Job Description
The Production Line Technician is a lead production employee responsible for the daily leadership of line production employees. This role involves working closely with Quality Assurance, Mechanics, and Line employees to efficiently and safely produce high-quality products. The candidate will be trained and encouraged to meet the qualifications for certification, such as fork truck operation. This position also holds accountability for specific quality and risk management processes.
Responsibilities
+ Represent and project the Production Department positively in various meetings within the plant structure.
+ Maintain a consistent focus on safety and lead by example.
+ Assist in improving pack rates and perform weekly safety scans.
+ Coordinate daily operations and train employees.
+ Lead Level one meetings and evaluate training needs.
+ Encourage open communication to solve problems and improve results.
+ Perform basic computer data entry and communicate with crew.
+ Prioritize workday to efficiently meet targets.
+ Understand and operate all machines, including setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
+ Train other employees in the safe use and operation of all equipment.
+ Communicate mechanical concerns and ensure follow-up until repair is made.
+ Follow all quality policies and procedures and report quality issues.
+ Perform and document periodic audit checks of the line operators.
+ Evaluate product quality by sampling products and detailing results.
+ Collect, verify accuracy, and file all daily Quality, HACCP, and other manufacturing process paperwork.
+ Keep production lines clean and perform pre-production inspections.
+ Follow glass break procedures and coordinate line setup.
+ Monitor production, quality, and safety to meet targets.
+ Make operational adjustments based on personnel and equipment issues.
+ Perform product changeovers and understand labor and supply budgets.
+ Understand the HMI’s for OEE data entry and work overtime as needed.
+ Measure employee work performance and assist in improving results.
+ Act as Production/Sanitation liaison and perform other assigned duties.
Essential Skills
+ Identify problems with machines and report them.
+ Knowledgeable of causes of equipment and product loss.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent job experience.
+ Basic understanding of English and Spanish.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.

Work Environment
This position is in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Overtime and weekend work may be required as business needs dictate. Schedule or shift changes may occur as needed. Personal Protective Equipment such as bump caps, safety glasses, slip-resistant shoes, and earplugs must be worn. The role requires frequent standing and walking.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Woodstock, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
