Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for learning advanced manufacturing tools and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Effective communication with both office staff and production employees is essential, as well as the ability to influence continuous improvement in the site’s manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, test, repair, and maintain a wide range of industrial and building equipment, focusing on electrical and electronic systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using standardized methods and CSA codes.Design, build, assemble, modify, and install electrical controls and systems, including performing preventative maintenance duties according to TPM schedules.Maintain service equipment, work areas, tool crib, and spare parts inventory, ensuring tools and parts are available when needed.Support the quality department by performing functional tests and final mechanical inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment.Coordinate contractors' work permits, train them on safety requirements, and assist with machinery movement and shop floor layout activities.

Must Haves

Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience in electrical and mechanical fields.Ability to read and follow mechanical blueprints/drawings and wiring schematics.Experience in troubleshooting, inspecting, testing, and repairing equipment using various hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

309A/442A License is a nice-to-have.Experience driving a forklift is beneficial.Knowledge of fabrication and production machinery is advantageous.
