Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety and quality standards. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment and machinery within our fast-paced food production environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment in compliance with GMP, safety, and professional quality standards.Inspect, repair, rebuild, and modify equipment and facility ancillary equipment.Repair machinery parts causing breakdowns and replace if necessary.Troubleshoot and prevent recurring breakdowns, recommending procedural changes.Utilize testing equipment and diagnostic skills to identify root causes of issues.Instruct equipment operators to prevent damage to machines or systems.Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains in sound working condition.Assist with facility repairs and maintenance as required.Document all work performed using maintenance management software.Support machine setups and changeovers as needed.Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Skills

Mechanical troubleshooting expertise.Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.Preventative maintenance experience.Minimum of 5 years in an industrial maintenance environment.High school diploma or GED required; formal technical training preferred.Excellent mechanical aptitude.Ability to pass in-house mechanical aptitude test.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

PLC experience is a plus.Ability to lift and carry necessary equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced production facility. It is deadline-intensive and requires wearing a provided uniform, hair net, and beard cover. The team consists of 12 members, including management, mechanics, and machine cleaners

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
