As a Maintenance Technician, you will independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment. This role ensures that machinery operates at optimal efficiency through effective management, preventive maintenance, and problem-solving.
ResponsibilitiesKeep machinery operating at optimal efficiency through effective management, preventive maintenance, problem-solving, and reporting in accordance with good manufacturing practices.Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the event of equipment breakdown.Assist with line changeovers in the bakery and packaging rooms as necessary.Support the baker and supervisor during the start-up of ovens.Work with electrical motors and drives.Perform electrical troubleshooting.Weld as needed (preferred but not required).Conduct general preventive maintenance, including regularly scheduled lubrication and adjustments on all equipment.Work on daily project lists provided by the Maintenance Supervisor.Follow company safety procedures per OSHA regulations.Take responsibility for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
Essential SkillsBasic knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC Motors, 3 phase wiring), hydraulic/pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance.Experience with industrial maintenance mechanics, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and AC/DC motors.Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial mechanical/electrical systems.Capability to work with food processing equipment.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to communicate with co-workers.Adaptability to make changes quickly and accurately.Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding skills (preferred but not required).Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.Comfortable working at heights of up to 30 ft.Use of non-slip shoes.Tolerance for warm working temperatures and enclosed work areas.

Work Environment
You will work in a food processing plant where adherence to GMP, cleanliness, and temperature control is mandatory. Expect to wear boots and clean working clothes, as well as all necessary PPE. The environment includes various levels of noise exposure and some heavy lifting, with temperatures reaching up to 130 degrees in the Oven Room. Moderate exposure to chemicals is also expected.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
