**Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician with expertise in metal stamping for a direct hire position in our unionized facility. This role offers opportunities for growth and involves working in a dynamic environment where safety and quality are the top priorities. Responsibilities + Lead 'best in class' behaviors with a focus on safety, quality, and adherence to policies. + Operate standard maintenance tools including power tools, basic hand tools, and basic electrical testing equipment safely and effectively. + Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations, as well as departmental policies and procedures. + Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs as assigned. + Assist maintenance personnel by performing various duties as directed. + Detect, document, and report improper machine operation and faulty equipment. + Train other maintenance staff as needed. + Perform preventative maintenance up to the skill level and Maintenance Level 1 duties and responsibilities. + Provide assistance to other maintenance technicians or machine operators. + Engage in problem-solving using defined methodologies. + Support engineering by gathering requested information and beta testing some engineering projects. + Work with machine service engineers to gather information and report unusual issues for resolution. + Perform emergency procedures regarding power failures. + Demonstrate competence and proficiency in basic mechanical or electrical tasks. Essential Skills + 2+ years of technical training and 3+ years of experience or equivalent. + Ability to read and understand standard mechanical and electrical schematics. + Experience in maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic welding skills. + Problem-solving skills using defined methodologies. + No specific education or certificate requirement. Why Work Here? The facility is not temperature-controlled, leading to hot conditions in summer and cold conditions in winter. Steel-toed boots are mandatory, and employees must wear jeans or pants without holes, paired with a long or short sleeve T-shirt. The facility manufactures filters, fences, gratings, and other metal products.
