The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. This role involves preventative maintenance, repair on machinery, running electric and airlines, and moving machinery. The technician performs all tasks in an efficient, safe, and timely manner, reading work orders and specifications to determine the necessary maintenance or repair.
ResponsibilitiesRead work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.Prioritize assignments based on the importance of the problem and order of tasks.Assist with installation of new machinery.Follow all safety rules and regulations, especially around the press.Demonstrate and teach newer employees proper machine usage and safety measures.Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment.Other duties as assigned.
Essential SkillsFamiliarity with voltmeters to check voltages up to 480V and use for continuity checks.Knowledge of wiring and operation of relays, motors, motor contactors, and transformers.Experience with 3 phase power up to 480 volts.Ability to install and test electrical circuits and basic wiring.Ability to read a wiring schematic.Experience testing and repairing pneumatic systems, including pneumatic cylinders and valves.Experience testing and repairing hydraulic systems, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and valves.Ability to read a part drawing.Ability to layout and fabricate simple parts using a drill, drill press, or manual mill.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in the printing/thermoforming industry.

Work Environment
Work in a very clean environment with 18 thermoforming lines. The facility is split between the North and South sides, with one side dedicated to medical customers.
