Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** Job Description The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing automated packaging equipment and various other machinery. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of all equipment. Responsibilities + Conduct daily preventative maintenance on packaging and production equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and motors. + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various types of machinery to maintain operating efficiency. + Make necessary adjustments and repairs to machines. + Install bearings, seals, belts, chains, and other parts/components of automated packaging equipment. + Work with pneumatics and hydraulics systems. + Perform machinery lubrication and operate manual milling, lathe, band saw, and presses. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for equipment installation and repair. + Assist in identifying and ordering spare parts. + Develop basic daily plans to ensure maximum productivity without compromising quality or safety. Essential Skills + Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or enrollment in a mechanical and technical program. + Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery. + Understanding of industrial equipment, basic electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulics. + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance. + Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with shop equipment such as mills, lathes, band saws, and presses is a plus. + PLC knowledge will be advantageous. + Strong problem-solving and communication skills. + Ability to ask effective questions when needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract-To-Hire position based out of Nashville, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $36.51 - $37.01/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
