Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation.Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and perform repairs as necessary.Assemble, install, and repair electrical components, hydraulic systems, plumbing and hoses, and other mechanical and/or control systems.Complete preventative maintenance reviews for all equipment and document regular maintenance reports.Perform welding projects using stick, MIG, or TIG welding processes to fabricate new equipment and repair existing equipment.Assist in completing equipment build and refurbishment projects as outlined by company management.Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers to support maintenance needs and project work.Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures as needed.Provide grounds keeping services, including snow removal as needed.Travel to other branches for equipment servicing, approximately once every 3-4 months, to locations such as TX, TN, SC, or NC.Essential SkillsIndustrial maintenance experience: 2+ yearsMechanical and electrical experienceProficiency in industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and troubleshootingExperience with preventive and corrective maintenanceAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manualsProficient in welding processes: stick, MIG, or TIGExperience in PLC troubleshootingKnowledge of 3-phase electrical systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in maintenance repair and mechanical maintenanceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in a manufacturing facility that produces industrial belting. The role involves hands-on work with a variety of equipment and systems, and occasional travel to service other branches.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
