Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will safely perform all aspects of maintenance within a packaging facility. The role involves assisting in maintaining the facility and actively participating in plant-wide safety initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and troubleshoot slitters and laminators and assembly equipment, and interact with vendor technical support.Maintain facility systems and equipment.Recommend improvements to current processes, machinery, and technology.Troubleshoot PC and PLC systems and load programs as needed.Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.Advocate for proactive safety measures.Conduct electrical wiring, controls, and PLC tasks.Essential SkillsKnowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, shafts, rollers, and pneumatics.Active listening, critical thinking, and judgment and decision-making skills.Basic computer skills and proficiency in PC and PLC operating systems.Ability to use measuring and leveling tools for fine adjustments.Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of food processing or packaging.Experience with Allen Bradley Logix/Studio 5000.3 or more years of experience in a maintenance role.Injection molding experience preferred but not required.3 or more years of strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude.Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.High School Diploma at minimum.5+ years of electro-mechanical experience.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Romeoville, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
