**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Assist the Maintenance Department in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems within an industrial establishment. You will perform various tasks to support the ongoing needs of the organization. **Responsibilities** + Dismantle machines or equipment, replace defective parts and motors, and adjust feed mechanisms. + Clean and lubricate machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings. Replace or repair machine belts. + Remove dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines. + Paint machines or equipment to prevent corrosion. + Bend and cut conduit wire, and drill holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections. + Connect wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, splice wire, and insulate wire with friction tape. + Bend, cut, and thread pipe, cut openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seal pipe joints with sealing compound. + Cut out and join parts for worktables, benches, shelves, and other furnishings. + Patch or replace plaster or plaster board and paint walls, ceilings, and trim of building. + Clear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures. + Operate welding machine to repair or join metal parts. + Furnish colleagues with materials, tools, and supplies. + Clean work area, tools, and equipment. Perform other routine duties. + Adhere to all work procedures to the established quality and environmental management systems. + Work in other work centers as production needs require. + Perform all work procedures in accordance with safety standards. **Essential Skills** + Experience with electrical systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance. + Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repair. + Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. + Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. + Six months to one year of related experience and/or training. + Experience with basic hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, computers, blueprints, schematics, and circuit breaker panels. + Preferred experience with plastics or other manufacturing, electrical, robotics, mechatronics, PLCs, cranes/hoists, forklift, and basic plumbing and building maintenance. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and supportive work environment that values employee development and safety.
