Maintenance Technician

Paying $29 / HR to $32 / HR

Location: Portland, OR

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility.Analyze mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.Fabricate parts as needed using welding techniques and other fabrication methods.Operate scissor lifts and other equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks.Utilize logic controllers for troubleshooting and repairs of automated systems.Conduct inspections using tools such as ammeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Work collaboratively with team members to uphold safety standards and promote a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.Strong knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems is essential.Familiarity with customer service principles, as interaction with team members and other departments may be required.Ability to analyze problems logically and devise practical solutions efficiently.Experience in welding and fabrication techniques is highly desirable.Proficiency in operating scissor lifts and understanding of logic controllers will be beneficial.

Environment / Shift:

Specializes in the production of bread, cakes, and bagels. They are a manufacturing supplier to many well-known brands throughout the northwest. About 225 people total, split between 3 shifts and office staff. Can be hot at times, hot ovens.Shifts: Flexible, 6 days on, 2.5 days off.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr.
