Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** This position involves performing all preventative maintenance and repair tasks in a highly automated milk distribution facility. The role includes mechanical and electrical repairs and troubleshooting to ensure continuous production. Equipment within the facility includes bottling machines, filling machines, boilers, PLCs, palletizers, packaging equipment, HVAC systems, 3-phase motors, pumps, VFDs, and hydraulics/pneumatics. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. This is a night shift position from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on pneumatic pumps, hydraulic pumps, and conveyors. + Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting on 480 Volt, Three Phase, AC/DC Motors. + Utilize PLC software to manage inputs and outputs and log in with a laptop. + Execute preventative maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime. + Repair and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, and other industrial equipment. + Work with blueprints and schematics to understand equipment layouts and functions. + Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, including lock out/tag out and high voltage electrical safety. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in mechanical repair and troubleshooting. + 5+ years of experience in electrical repair and troubleshooting. + Proficiency with PLC troubleshooting and programming. + Experience with industrial maintenance, including 3-phase motors and conveyors. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Strong knowledge of automation systems such as Allen-Bradley. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance-related field. + Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, belt systems, motors, pumps, and other industrial machine components. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Knowledge of safety policies and procedures. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. **Why Work Here?** The company offers uniforms and boots, career advancement opportunities including skills training and apprenticeships, and comprehensive health benefits such as Blue Cross Blue Shield Health, Avesis Vision, and Delta Dental. The facility is highly automated, featuring conveyors, palletizers, packaging equipment, large mixing silos, gauges, condensers, and other beverage production equipment. It is an FDA-certified facility and one of the top performing plants in the country. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Battle Creek, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $61880.00 - $91520.00/yr. This company is growing rapidly. They have brought 3 new lines over the past 4 years, currently working on streamlining new lines for different flavored Milk.
