Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and modifications to protein processing equipment and the facility to ensure safety, efficiency, and effective operations of all plant equipment and machinery. The role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety, able to work both independently and as part of a team.

ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.Perform preventive maintenance routines on all equipment.Assist in other areas of plant maintenance as needed.Strictly adhere to company policies and safety rules, making sound decisions concerning daily maintenance activities.Use maintenance software to check for assigned work, complete work orders, write work orders, and document time.Essential SkillsTwo-year Vocational Certificate in Maintenance or two years maintenance/mechanical work experience.Two or more years of experience in a production environment.Strong electrical aptitude.Experience with industrial electrical controls.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical problems using test equipment and diagrams.Knowledge of motors and motor controls.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems with gearboxes, chains/sprockets alignment, and pneumatic systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding and fabrication experience preferred.Able to participate on the company’s HazMat Team.Able to work weekends.Physical ability to lift and pull up to 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring awkward positions for up to 20 minutes.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
