Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing both mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, inspecting, and adjusting machinery as needed, with a focus on preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment.Troubleshoot, inspect, and adjust machinery as needed.Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failures.Execute basic diagnostics and test damaged machine parts.Complete general facility maintenance as required.Collaborate with team members in assigned groups to ensure efficient operations.Essential SkillsExperience working on a maintenance team in an industrial setting.Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems.Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems, including 480V systems.Skill in PLC programming and troubleshooting.Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes.Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.Capacity to work well in a team and manage time efficiently.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a technical school graduate with a focus on industrial maintenance/electrical.High mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using hand and power tools.Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes a large, refrigerated plant where maintenance teams work in smaller groups. While some areas may have an unpleasant odor, others do not. Personal protective equipment and cold-weather gear are provided. Additionally, work may involve indoor and outdoor tasks at clean feed/grain facilities, with potential work at heights of 150-200 feet. Safety is the top priority.

This is a Permanent position based out of Millsboro, Delaware.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

- Hourly employees receive their pay every Friday.
