Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed corrugating machinery, including printing presses, die cutting, flexogluing, and packaging equipment. The role involves conducting preventative maintenance on machinery, such as oiling, lubricating, and greasing parts, and utilizing blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting. Candidates will employ hand and power tools, including volt meters and electrical testing tools, for repairs, and will also engage in general building maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed corrugating machinery. + Perform preventative maintenance, including oiling, lubricating, and greasing parts. + Utilize blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting. + Employ hand and power tools, including volt meters and electrical testing tools, for repairs. + Engage in general building maintenance tasks. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of motors and pneumatics. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. + Experience with PLCs and printing press machinery. + 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience on manufacturing equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Trade schooling preferred. + Ability to troubleshoot to root cause. **Why Work Here?** Join a team within a brand-new state-of-the-art facility with advanced machinery and expansive growth plans over the next decade. Candidates will be eligible for conversion to full-time employment within six months, with a Fidelity auto-enrollment at 3% match after 90 days. **Work Environment** The Maintenance Technician position is available on weekend shifts from Saturday to Tuesday, 6 am to 4 pm, and Thursday to Sunday, 6 am to 4 pm. The facility is clean, organized, and offers ample open space, although it is not temperature controlled. The maintenance team is required to work overtime and may need to work on Saturdays as the facility continues to build out. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
