Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team on the production floor, focusing on three primary areas: Frozen, Cooked, and Packaging. Set up production lines, respond to maintenance calls, and perform preventative maintenance tasks utilizing Fiix CMMS. Most of your day will involve realigning and diagnosing meat slicing machines on grill lines and diagnosing control panels with PLC, transformers, drives, servo drives, and Honeywell burner controls.

ResponsibilitiesSet up production lines and respond to maintenance calls.Perform preventative maintenance tasks using Fiix CMMS.Realign and diagnose meat slicing machines on grill lines.Diagnose control panels containing PLC, transformers, drives, and servo drives.Diagnose PLCs and drives with a laptop and load programs from the server.Work with electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V.Pull out motors and servo motors for diagnosis and replacement.Maintain mechanical systems including gearboxes, shafts, and chain sprockets.Frequent maintenance of wrapping machines on the cooked side.Operate and maintain Codian and Fanuc robotic lines using HMI.Perform infrequent maintenance on flash freezing room and boiler.Essential Skills3-5 years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience with systems up to 480V.Ability to understand and diagnose using electrical schematics.Experience in reading and understanding ladder logic in PLCs.Ability to pull programs from the server into drives and PLCs.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical experience in maintenance of motors and gearboxes.Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, PowerFlex, Ultra 3000, and Kinetics 5500.Knowledge in robotics including Fanuc and Codian.Experience in conveyor maintenance.Familiarity with Fiix CMMS.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a clean and climate-controlled food production facility. Follow strict sanitation and safety practices, including beard/hair nets, smocks, and hand washing stations. Join a team of six technicians and two leads on each shift. The position requires third shift hours from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with two Saturdays a month. Bring your own slip-resistant shoes. Participate in a yearly shutdown where maintenance will work the entire week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vandalia, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.75 - $30.75/hr.
