Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of industrial equipment throughout the Distribution Center. This role requires experience with various high-speed unit sorters and case sorters, as well as expertise in PLC controllers and conveyor controls.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain and operate industrial equipment within the Distribution Center.Troubleshoot and repair high-speed unit sorters such as Cross Belt, Tilt Tray, and Sliding Shoe.Handle case sorters including Narrow Belt, Pop Up, Sliding Shoe, and Swivel wheel.Utilize PLC controllers and understand processes and I/O (inputs & outputs).Program and troubleshoot conveyor controls such as Pyramid.Perform maintenance on Print & Apply systems.Troubleshoot photo eyes, encoders, scanners, and dimensioners.Manage VFD controls and ASRS systems (Automatic Storage & Retrieval System).Operate MDR conveyors (Motorized Drive Roller) and powered curve conveyors.Apply electrical knowledge for systems ranging from 600v to 12v.Understand and work with transformers and motor control panels.Replace and wire 3 phase 480v motors with brakes.Replace gear box speed reducers and conveyor belts of various sizes.Manage air control systems including compressors, valves, and actuators.Apply knowledge of hydraulics in systems such as pumps and hoses.Maintain trash compactors and corrugated balers.Perform maintenance in plumbing, carpentry, and painting.Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, etc.Utilize all shop tools effectively.Essential SkillsPreventive maintenance experience.Mechanical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read schematics and blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust own personal tools.Minimum of 1 year experience in preventative maintenance and mechanical work; 2 years preferred.Completion of a course through Trade Schools related to automation or industrial technology is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a Distribution Center spanning over 3 million square feet. Shifts are available from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, with hours from 6am to 2:30pm, 2:00pm to 10:30pm, or 10:00pm to 6:30am.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
