Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance on the equipment in our facility. The role requires moderate to extreme physical exertion and may involve prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions. **Responsibilities** + Perform diversified duties to maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. + Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. + Read and interpret blueprints, technical repair manuals, and electrical prints. + Operate a forklift and scissor lift. + Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. + Engage in mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. + Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. + Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. + Assist in performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. + Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. + Detect faulty operations and defective material, reporting any unusual situations to proper supervision. + Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of manufacturing experience. + Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills. + Background in production maintenance. + Troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + Preventive maintenance expertise. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Basic computer skills. + Strong math skills. + Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + An Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance or equivalent work experience preferred. + Knowledge of equipment used in the plastic extrusion industry preferred but not required. **Why Work Here?** Work in a clean, well-lit facility offering a supportive environment. Employees will work in a facility specializing in custom plastic extrusion manufacturing, utilizing technologies such as extrusion machines and PLC troubleshooting. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Plymouth, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
