**Maintenance Technician** Currently hiring 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians in the Lockport, IL area. Hiring immediately. **Shift:** 2nd shift. (3pm-11pm) + Will train on 1st shift for a month or so. **Pay (PAID WEEKLY):** $30-35/hr. **Job Description** + Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of machinery including extrusion and injection mold machinery. + Repair and troubleshoot conveyor systems, labelers, automated stretch wrappers, turrets, and CNC machinery. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Troubleshoot PLCs using software for platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi. + Perform both electrical and mechanical tasks, with a focus on electrical (80/20 electrical/mechanical). + Work with various drives and motors. + Utilize ladder logic for efficient troubleshooting. + Maintain personal tool inventory for job responsibilities. **Essential Skills** + 3-5+ years of experience with extrusion or injection molding equipment. + Certification in Electrical or Maintenance, including knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, blueprints, schematics, welding, and repair. + General maintenance coursework or electrical proficiency. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Ownership of personal tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Coursework or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical. + Experience troubleshooting and repairing extrusion machinery. + Experience working on injection molding machinery. + Knowledge of PLC systems. **Work Environment** This position operates on the manufacturing floor and maintenance shop, which is clean and temperature-controlled. You will work alongside 2-3 other electricians and mechanics, with safety attire including boots, uniforms (after permanent hire), safety glasses, and ear plugs. There is flexibility for candidates interested in the 1st or 3rd shift. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
