**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, tear down and reassemble, as well as predictive and preventive maintenance services. This role assists in the construction of machines for manufacturing production and provides emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment during machine service. The technician will read and interpret manuals, schematics, and prints, and schedule work according to urgency and work orders. Furthermore, the technician identifies safety issues with machines and supports the creation of action plans to resolve concerns.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist in construction of machines for manufacturing production.
+ Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and perform scheduled maintenance of production equipment.
+ Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and prints.
+ Schedule and prioritize work according to urgency and work orders.
+ Identify safety issues with machines, document issues, and support the creation of action plans.
+ Monitor electrical and mechanical systems, and call appropriate resources for maintenance support when necessary.
+ Coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance Manager and Production Manager to schedule machine maintenance.
+ Conduct routine inspections and provide general maintenance repairs of office and building.
+ Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other government guidelines.
+ Assist in the control and scheduling of projects.
+ Monitor inventory and order parts as necessary.
+ Monitor energy usage and provide recommendations on better usage.
+ Comply with OSHA and CAOSHA Safety and Health rules.
+ Find vendors for work beyond personal capability, like heavy electrical, welding, or fabrication.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in mechanical and electrical work.
+ Proficiency in maintenance technician, facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and preventive maintenance.
+ Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment.
+ Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments.
+ Ability to act independently and transition to a team player when needed.
+ Basic understanding of building maintenance.
+ Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
+ Ability to use hand and power tools.

+ Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves regular exposure to pollen and bumblebees, with the possibility of bee stings. You will work independently with minimal supervision, and seasonal overtime may be required. Expect regular exposure to hot or cold conditions.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
