Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in aligning the Maintenance Organization with our Core Purpose. The focus will be on supporting daily operations by preventing machine breakdowns and enhancing maintenance processes and associate skills. This position will transition from reactive to planned maintenance by building and continuously improving maintenance behaviors and systems aligned with our Continuous Improvement culture.

ResponsibilitiesWork under limited supervision to maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.Perform skilled work in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, boiler, wastewater, and general maintenance of equipment and structures.Resolve emergency situations by taking corrective action and completing necessary repairs to ensure systems function safely and efficiently.Ensure operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.Troubleshoot malfunctions and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.Adjust functional parts or devices and determine changes in dimensional requirements by inspecting used parts with measuring instruments.Control downtime by informing production associates of routine preventive maintenance.Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels and placing orders as needed.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Carry out diverse skilled activities involving the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.Assist and engage in thorough troubleshooting of diverse technical issues and tasks.Maintain technical knowledge by completing Dupont Level 2 & 3 Technician Training.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Maintain records and reports as appropriate.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficient in electrical, troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or guide up to 50 pounds individually or more with assistance.Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program and 4 to 8 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.Working knowledge of AC and DC circuits with the ability to work on voltages ranging from 5 Volt DC to 480 Volt AC.Ability to operate basic computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and work with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.Must provide own set of tools.Valid driver license.Additional Skills & QualificationsEquipment MaintenanceTechnical UnderstandingTechnical ZealDeals with UncertaintyBasic SafetyPower ToolsAttention to DetailFlexibilitySupervisionJob KnowledgeProductivityWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is located in a food distribution center environment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, with some overnight work required as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jessup, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
