**Job Title: Electromechanical Technician**
**Job Description**
Apply logic and reasoning with best practice electromechanical principles to troubleshoot and repair plant equipment failures as required to minimize manufacturing disruptions. Evaluate the condition of equipment components against manufacturer’s specifications and repair or replace as needed to ensure equipment operates at its intended design capabilities and rates. Utilize technical manuals and drawings to apply logical troubleshooting and repair of equipment/systems in the absence of familiarity and previous experiences with the equipment. Interact and communicate with others throughout the facility in a professional, cooperative, and supportive manner, utilizing effective teamwork concepts. Complete period preventative maintenance tasks as defined by CMMS and communicate/record abnormalities for follow-up. Record all work done and spare parts used in CMMS daily, generating, commenting, and closing work orders. Comply with all plant GMP, HACCP, and Safety regulations and guidelines, immediately reporting any abnormalities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment failures to minimize manufacturing disruptions.
+ Evaluate equipment components against manufacturer’s specifications and repair or replace as required.
+ Utilize technical manuals and drawings for troubleshooting and repair of unfamiliar equipment.
+ Interact and communicate professionally with facility personnel using effective teamwork concepts.
+ Complete preventative maintenance tasks as defined by CMMS and communicate abnormalities.
+ Record all work and spare parts usage in CMMS daily, generating, commenting, and closing work orders.
+ Comply with all plant GMP, HACCP, and Safety regulations, reporting abnormalities promptly.
+ Communicate status of active equipment issues to co-workers and supervisors for unresolved issues.
+ Partner with outside service technicians and contractors for troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and modifications.
+ Participate in new equipment installation and commissioning projects.
+ Assist machine operators with complex tasks during machine/product changeovers for efficient equipment operation.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial electromechanical maintenance technician role.
+ Experience with machinery equipped with PLC controls, pneumatics, servos, VFDs, hydraulic, and mechanical power transmission components.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled industrial manufacturing equipment.
+ Ability to evaluate machine components against manufacturer specifications for repair or replacement.
+ Skill in interpreting technical information from equipment documentation.
+ Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance tasks.
+ Proficiency with personal computers, including Microsoft software products.
+ Experience in machining, welding, fabrication, steam systems, and HVAC systems is a plus.
**Work Environment**
The work environment is a manufacturing facility. Employees are expected to comply with all plant GMP, HACCP, and Safety regulations and guidelines. The facility utilizes technologies and equipment related to electromechanical maintenance, including PLC controls, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
**Job Type & Location**
Reading, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
