Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This is a mechanical maintenance position focused on troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on various machines. The role involves working with equipment such as bearing machines, wire cutting machines, shape enders, centerless grinders, and motors. A significant portion of the job involves rebuilding gearboxes. The technician will also handle hydraulic pumps and motors. The position is heavily mechanical, with basic electrical tasks limited to identifying 'hot' wires.

ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on machines.Work with equipment like bearing machines, wire cutting machines, and centerless grinders.Rebuild gearboxes as a primary task.Understand manuals to replace parts or bearings on machines.Work extensively on hydraulic pumps and various motors.Perform 75% preventative maintenance, 15% reactive maintenance, and 10% project-based tasks.Essential SkillsMechanical repair experience, specifically on pumps or pneumatic components.Ability to read manuals and blueprints.Experience with industrial maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy equipment mechanics.Basic electrical ability to identify 'hot' wires.3 years of mechanical repair experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsOwn basic hand tools and toolbox.Previous preventative maintenance experience, such as greasing bearings.Ability to change out a motor.Electrical experience is a plus.Experience in wastewater is beneficial.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
