Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician working on the 2nd shift. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, facility upkeep, and addressing machine downtime for metal injection molding machines, centrifugal furnaces, and milling centers. Additionally, you will support various projects and scheduled rebuilds.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.Maintain facility operations and respond to machine downtime calls.Troubleshoot and repair metal injection molding machines, centrifugal furnaces, and milling centers.Support scheduled projects and rebuilds.Essential Skills4-5 years of recent experience in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machinery.3+ years in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including schematics and volt meter usage.3+ years of experience in either injection molding, CNC, or furnace machine repair.3+ years in mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair, including machine center spindles, gearboxes, and hydraulics.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read blueprints.Work Environment

Our facility operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday morning (2am) , with opportunities for overtime by volunteering for Friday work. We are a small metal injection molding operation with an air-conditioned plant, featuring 9 injection mold machines, 5 furnaces, 5 Haas mills, 1 grinder, and 1 EDM. Our team is cohesive and collaborative, with a focus on building high profit margin parts for various industries.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of PORT HURON, Michigan.

This is a Direct Hire position. When employed by this company you will be on the companies payroll as their employee. This is NOT a contract or temporary position.

Hourly Rate= $28-$30/hr

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $41600.00/yr.

Company -

Britt is a small metal injection molding operation. They create high profit margin parts for the medical, defense, aerospace, and various non automotive industries.

They have a very cohesive team that works well together and collaborates form department heads all the way down to production employees.

Britt does all of their own mold builds and maintenance.

Metal injection molding is extremely similar to plastic injection molding, so Britt has to recruit from that industry, as the closes MIM shops are in Wisconsin and southern Ohio.

Environment=

Air conditioned plant-

There are 9 injection mold machines. There do about 4-6 start ups per day. This entail mold changes and resetting and calibrating of the presses by the process techs.

There at 2 Haas mills, 1 grinder and 1 edm
