Job Description
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment at the Plant and Port Warehouse. This role involves on-shift equipment and facility maintenance, repair, and on-the-spot troubleshooting support. As part of the Maintenance Team, the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic contributes to improving equipment efficiency and throughput by supporting improvement projects and performing preventative maintenance.
ResponsibilitiesLocate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.Troubleshoot mechanical failures, repair equipment, and provide support for on-the-spot troubleshooting.Essential SkillsProficiency in maintenance repair and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in food production maintenance.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience repairing industrial equipment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All safety policies and procedures must be followed and enforced.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr.
