**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment and the building within an aerospace manufacturing shop. The role involves maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, motor controls, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and pumps. HVAC experience is considered a plus.
2nd shift - 2pm to 10:30pm (Train on 1st)
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical equipment, motor controls, and electrical systems.
+ Perform plumbing repairs and pump maintenance.
+ Generate and maintain accurate reports on maintenance activities, including work orders, downtime, and expenditures.
+ Inspect and listen to machines to identify malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs.
+ Disassemble machinery to access and repair problem areas.
+ Set up and operate mechanical equipment and small hand tools for machine and equipment repair.
+ Fabricate parts and components as needed for repairs and maintenance.
+ Assign tasks and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
+ Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in technical skills and work ethics.
+ Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure efficient operation of equipment and systems.
+ Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and safety regulations.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
+ Operate forklift and other mobile equipment as required for maintenance tasks and material handling.
+ Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams to assist in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery and systems.
+ Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules to ensure optimal functionality of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
+ Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols, equipment usage, and workplace conduct.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and pumps.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and problem-solving.
+ Ability to operate forklift and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
+ Electrical skills including three-phase motors, relays, PLC troubleshooting, and repair.
+ Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge.
+ Preventive maintenance expertise.
+ Blueprint reading skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Welding and fabrication skills are nice to have.
+ Flexibility with work hours including off-shifts and weekends as needed.
+ Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and punctuality.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

**Work Environment**
The role involves working across six different buildings, requiring the use of personal tools with secure storage provided. The environment is dynamic, offering opportunities to work with advanced equipment and engage in hands-on tasks within a state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
